Knits Magazine Summer 2008 Cover
Imprint Tank Knitting Pattern
Keep knitting all summer long with easy twenty-three projects that burst with color, pattern, and line: Slip stitches, stripes, stranded colorwork, intarsia, and embroidery all seem fresh and new when worked in silks and cool cottons. PLUS: Breezy lace, the real deal on the new regenerated yarns on the market, a look at the life of a commercial sweater designer, and a special interview with Meg Swansen with a bonus pattern.

SPRING 2007

Dollar and a Half Cardigan (page 60)
The headings for "Right Front" and "Left Front" are inversed. The cable pattern should be on the right front as
shown in photographs.

In the correctly renamed Left Front section, shape neck by dec 1 st at neck edge at *end* of RS rows, and shape armhole by BO at beg of *RS* rows.

In the correctly renamed Right Front section, shape neck by dec 1 st at neck edge at *beg* of RS rows, and shape armhole by BO at beg of *WS* rows.

Bonsai Tunic (page 62)
Under "Front"; the directions stating that the needles should be switched back to the larger size after the ribbing is complete were omitted.

Indigo Ripples Skirt (page 72)
Rnds 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19: *Yo, k3tog, k3, yo, k1, yo, k4, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1; rep from * to end.

Cable-Down Raglan (page 86)
When working the Diamond chart, work the inc round as written in the pattern.  On "work even" rounds, work as follows: Cont in patt as established, [work to next m, sl m, k1, work to next m, sl m] 2
times.  (In other words, on the "work even" rounds, knit the first sleeve stitch after the marker.)

After beginning the Right Cable and Left Cable charts, work the Inc round as follows: Inc rnd: Cont in patt as established, [k1f&b, work to 1 st before next m, k1f&b, sl m, M1p (see Glossary, page 123), work to next m, M1p, sl m] 2 times--8 sts inc’d.  (In other words, use the M1p increase on the
sleeves rather than k1f&b.)

Sources for Supplies (page 125)
The pictures of Muench String of Pearls and Nashua Handknits Creative Focus Kid Mohair are reversed.

Merry Maiden’s Dress (page 114)
Under “Sleeves”
Use the “Feather Lace Chart” instead of the “Feather Lace Gusset Chart” on the sleeves.

“I treasure the magazine—my copies show the wear and tear of my handling them over and over (even your advertisements are colorful and informative.) I have improved my knitting skills by making many patterns you publish that are irresistible, and I have been inspired to depart from old knitting habits by the creativity of your knitters.”
Elizabeth Johnston

“I appreciate that you not only have wonderful clothing projects but include other fun items like purses, and rugs, and such. You are all very clever and it’s so much fun to see your magazine arrive each time. I set aside a little quiet time for a cup of coffee and a good romp through the current issue.”
