Knits Magazine Summer 2008 Cover
Imprint Tank Knitting Pattern
Keep knitting all summer long with easy twenty-three projects that burst with color, pattern, and line: Slip stitches, stripes, stranded colorwork, intarsia, and embroidery all seem fresh and new when worked in silks and cool cottons. PLUS: Breezy lace, the real deal on the new regenerated yarns on the market, a look at the life of a commercial sweater designer, and a special interview with Meg Swansen with a bonus pattern.

Summer 2006

Cambridge Jacket (page 28)

Under Collar, the directions printed for “Size 46” only” should read “Size 44” only”.

Bias Corset (page 58)

The stitch counts are correct as they appear. For some sizes the lower edge ribbing will not flow uninterrupted into the ribbed pattern of the center front panel. In order to maintain the continuity of the rib pattern at center front, some sizes need to establish the lower edge ribbing beginning with k2 instead of p2 on the first RS row of the rib pattern.

Page 58, second sentence in paragraph after the heading "Corset":

For the 4th and 5th sizes (341/2" and 38"), establish rib pattern as *p2, k2; rep from * to end, as originally published. For all other sizes (291/2", 313/4", 33", 391/2", 433/4", and 48"), establish rib pattern as *k2, p2; rep from * to end.

Brioche Bodice (page 82)

Under Right side: When working the WS row even in patt, end row with ytf, sl1.
The first row after "shape armhole": (WS) BO 3 (3, 5, 5, 5) sts, work to last 10 sts in patt (ending ytf, sl 1), work right double dec, work in patt to end--19 (25, 27, 31, 33) sts rem.
Dec row: (WS) Work to last 10 sts (ending ytf, sl 1)…

Lotus Blosson Tank (page 102)

There is no error in the Lotus Blossom Tank lace pattern; some of our readers let us know that they would prefer a chart for the lace.

Eyelet Chemise (page 108)

The text should read as follows:

Under: Body Next row: (RS) K3, *yo, ssk (see Glossary, page 115), k1, ssk, p4, k2tog, k1; rep from * to last 5 sts, yo, ssk, k3.

“I treasure the magazine—my copies show the wear and tear of my handling them over and over (even your advertisements are colorful and informative.) I have improved my knitting skills by making many patterns you publish that are irresistible, and I have been inspired to depart from old knitting habits by the creativity of your knitters.”
